AIR EXPERIENCE FLIGHTS
An Air Experience Flight with Cloudbase is a wonderful introduction to paragliding!
As well as the wonderful sensation of flying a paraglider and the stunning views, depending on the experience you choose you may be able to take control of the glider (with your instructor's help of course). You never know, you might even decide that paragliding is the hobby for you.
What is a Paragliding Air Experience Flight?
A taster flight is an unforgettable experience, flying serenely above the rolling Wiltshire countryside suspended under a flexible wing.
Enjoy a flight on a tandem paraglider with one of our highly experienced instructors. Paragliding is the closest you can get to flying like a bird and we routinely soar along ridges and climb in thermals just like the buzzards and red kites we often see at our flying sites.
This exhilarating experience should be on everyone's bucket list and gives you a unique view on the land below. The minimum age for this experience is 10 years old and there is no maximum age limit.
You have two options to choose from:

Tandem Paraglider Flight ... where you simply fly as a passenger and leave all the flying to your instructor.

Tandem Paragliding Instruction Day ... for a more in-depth look a paragliding where you spend the day with us learning about paragliding with the ultimate aim of flying in our tandem wing and taking the controls under the expert tuition of one of our instructors.
A paragliding air experience flight also makes an amazing Christmas or birthday gift!
Meet & Greet
You’ll be welcomed at the flying site or our base at Membury Airfield by your instructor and after a bit of paperwork and short briefing you’ll be ready to fly either from a hill or our special winch.
Briefing
Your Instructor will go through a safety and information briefing with you and familiarise you with the paraglider itself.
Take to the skies!
Weather permitting you’ll soon be airborne above the rolling Wiltshire countryside. The scenery is stunning and depending on which direction you fly you could see the chalk horses of Wiltshire or even spot the legendary alien crop circles during the months of July and August.
Take Control
With the Tandem Paragliding Instruction Day, once you’re airborne and at a safe height you’ll even get to fly the glider yourself.
Flight Complete
We hope that after you’ve landed you’ll have caught the bug and will want to learn to fly. We’ll be delighted to welcome you aboard as a trainee paraglider pilot and there will be one more of us and one less of them!
AIR EXPERIENCE FLIGHT GIFT VOUCHERS
Buy a voucher for yourself or give the gift of flight
Vouchers are valid for a period of one year and we operate all year round seven days a week, although this is of course weather dependant. You’ll need to set aside a day for your flight and in the summer this could mean an early start. The flight duration for the tandem flights will be approximately 20-30 minutes in the air although you should bear in mind that this might be made up or more than one flight.
Please note: Paragliding is weather dependent, we need light winds and no rain to fly the tandem. Our instructors make the decision on whether its safe to fly based on over 60 years of combined experience. Expect cancellations during the years validity. We would ask all our passengers to book in at least 12 times within the year to give you a fair chance at completing the flight. Tandem Paragliding Instruction Session
A paragliding experience where you can take control of the paraglider under the guidance of an experienced instructor.

The tandem instruction day is a more in-depth look at paragliding than a simple tandem flight.

With this experience you get to spend the 3-4 hours with us learning about paragliding with the ultimate aim of a flight on our tandem wing with one of our instructors.

You’ll be able to take control of the glider to feel what it’s like to fly in this unique way; possibly even ridge soaring or thermalling into the sky.
